Jumping red squirrel
I've not long got my Sony A7R V, and this shot was taken in my first real field test on a trip to Kirk Cudbright with my friend Callum.
Red Squirrels are ridiculously quick. The eye auto-focus couldn't really keep up as they're so erratic and so small.
For this shot, I ended up going manual, but it was more luck than skill!
We placed a handfull of nuts on a platform, focused about 50cm behind it and just rapid fired trying to anticipate the jump in the hope of getting a keeper.
