Perched Buzzard
Considering the Buzzard is the most common diurnal raptor in Europe, they're particularly difficult to photograph due to their shy and elusive nature.
You usually see them from distance, soaring overhead or perched in the trees, so, of all the wildlife pictures I've taken, this was felt special.
It was winter on a roadtrip to Yorkshire with my friend Callum. We were losing the light and my Sigma 150-600mm isn't great in anything other than broad day-light.
We'd decided to call it a day, and just as we were packing up she flew in and spent a good 20 minutes or so just perched in front of us.
